As the sun sets on Bertie Ahern's last day as taoiseach of Ireland I thought I would post a small note. Being completely subjective I have some admiration for the guy. He sacraficed everything it would appear for politics and achieved some pretty historic results. Achieving peace and properity for Ireland. Something tells me that he will dodge any remaining flack from the Mahon tribunal and will go on to take up another leadership position in Europe or in Ireland as President.
